Students in Group Perfomance

AD1 is split into 4 separate youth companies:

Jump into AD1 (Years 3-6) 11.30am-1.30pm

AD1 Juniors (Years 7-8) 2.00-4.00pm

AD1 Seniors (Years 9-11) 9.00-11.00am

Each week our young dancers will receive outstanding dance training in a variety of styles which will develop students technical, performance and choreography skills. The three companies will receive diverse dance training in relation to their age and progress. Throughout the year, students will have performance opportunities including ‘Impact’ and ‘Inspire’, which are established dance shows at Glenthorne High School. At the end of each term a showcase will be organised to invite friends and family to view the progress made by each company.

AD1 has excellent facilities and resources, including a fully equipped new purpose built dance studio, with mirrors, sprung floor, integrated sound system and professional lighting rig. All dancers are encouraged to wear suitable dance wear to demonstrate professionalism.

Overall, AD1 is an excellent weekly opportunity for young aspiring dancers to develop and progress with their dance training. This opportunity will ensure that students are prepared for the next step in their dance career.

Our youngest company focusses on engaging and inspiring upcoming dancers. The aim of this company is to provide students with basic dance skills through a variety of styles. We aim to inspire all our young dancers to be confident in their ideas and comfortable working as a team. We often use movement games as well as recent films or TV shows to engage students with learning to dance.

AD1 Juniors – 2:00pm to 4:00pm

Our Junior company is open to all dancers in year 7 and 8 who are excited and eager to develop their dance skills. The Junior company will experience learning and creating with a different style of dance each week. The vision of AD1 Juniors is to inspire students with a diverse range of dance experiences.
