Parent Council
The Glenthorne High School parent council is a group of parents/carers who meet six times a year.
The aim of the parent council is to strengthen parents’ participation in the life and work of the school by offering a range of opportunities to enable parents to:
- Organise and take the lead on fundraising events which will be of benefit to the whole school
- Gain knowledge and understanding of the curriculum to enable parents and carers to engage fully in their child’s education
In addition, at each meeting there is an opportunity to talk to and ask about different aspects and elements of the school. A member of our Leadership Team chairs the meetings.
If you have any comments or questions about aspects of the school, feel free to raise them with your parent council representative, who will be able to bring them to the meeting each term. However, any personal queries or concerns should be raised with the Form Tutor, as the parent council cannot discuss individual cases.
If you want to be involved, please contact Miss Hewett by email on vht@glenthorne.sutton.sch.uk
