Pupil Premium Strategy
At Glenthorne High School, “Achievement for All” is our motto and guiding principle. We aim to develop each individual’s talent and release each individual’s unique potential. We strive to meet the needs of all pupils across the ability spectrum. We are an inclusive school and encourage all pupils to participate in our comprehensive extra-curricular programme.
The Pupil Premium is an important resource for ensuring the realisation of this inclusive and aspirational ethos. The Pupil Premium Grant is paid to schools for students in Years 7 - 11 who are recorded as being eligible for Free School Meals at any point in the last 6 years, are or have been Looked After at any point or have a parent serving in the armed forces.
We use this grant in a number of ways to support the progress and achievement of Pupil Premium pupils. The various strategies are wide-ranging and personalised to suit the different needs of the individual pupils. We have been very successful in this and the latest key Stage 4 outcomes for Glenthorne Pupil Premium pupils were almost all at a higher level than those of non-Pupil Premium pupils nationally. All details of this can be found in our ‘Pupil Premium Statement’ which is under the policies link.
Our latest Pupil Premium Statement can be viewed on the Policies and Documents page.
