Curriculum Aims:
- To offer students a broad range of physical activities and provide opportunities for competition in lessons and in extra-curricular activities.
- To be physically active for sustained periods of time within lessons and instill the importance of leading a healthy and active life into adulthood.
- Provide skills and powerful knowledge required to work within the sports industry.

The examination is made up of the following units:
- Physical Factors Affecting Performance
- Socio-cultural Issues and Sports Psychology
- Analysis of performance assignment (NEA)
- Practical performance (3 sports which must include 1 team, 1 individual and free choice)
All sports be chosen from the approved list available on the OCR website.
KS5
A-Level Physical Education Curriculum
Exam Board: OCR
Year 12: 9 lessons per fortnight, 1 assessment period
Year 13: 9 lessons per fortnight, 1 assessment period
Units:
Physiological factors affecting performance (2 hour exam) 30%
Psychological factors affecting performance (1 hour exam) 20%
Socio-cultural issues in physical activity and sport (1 hour exam) 20%
Performance in physical education (1 sport performance/coaching and Evaluation and analysis of performance for improvement). 30%
