Teacher of Humanities
Main Teacher Pay Scale (Outer London)
Required April or September 2025
Glenthorne High School is a vibrant and inclusive community where staff are appreciated and work collaboratively to ensure our pupils reach their full potential. The Humanities Department is welcoming team who have built well-established schemes of work and innovative resources to support teaching and learning.
The school has a vacancy for an enthusiastic Teacher of Humanities who demonstrates a passion for teaching to support the Subject Leader and instil a desire to learn in our pupils.
The ideal candidate will have a commitment to academic excellence, be enthusiastic about the subjects and work to embrace our mantra of achievement for all. The ability to teach Religious Studies to KS5 is desirable.

Teacher of Maths (Sept 2025 Start)

About Glenthorne High School
Set in the London Borough of Sutton, the school converted to Academy status in 2011 and with its two sister schools, Abbey Primary and Aragon Primary, forms the Willow Learning Trust. Glenthorne High School is a comprehensive school with 1700 pupils on roll, from 11 to 19 years of age, and prides itself on a diverse, inclusive and supportive community. Past Glenthorne pupils have been highly successful in securing Higher Education at Oxbridge and Russell Group universities and prestigious employment and apprenticeships.
Glenthorne is also the lead school for the Sutton Teaching Alliance and the Sutton SCITT, an outstanding provider of Primary and Secondary Initial Teacher Training.
The school is a centre of excellence in the arts and offers selected places to pupils who demonstrate both talent and aptitude in the arts.
In addition, the school has an ASD Base with 26 pupils. This department is well resourced, and pupils are integrated into the life of the school.
